Internal Martial Arts Journey

SINCE CHILDHOOD i was fascinated with Martial Art, Art and meditation. My first Martial Art was Karate and Wing Chun, also some Anit Terror Fighting. Life was about punching, kicking, running, swimming, training, drinking, loving and so on, but also meditation, painting and literature. In 1998 my Karate Master (Gyula Bükki) told me, that i have to teach. Teaching Martial Arts, then also body work, energy work, internal work, was my first job in this world .

SICKNESS and  an ACCIDENT, which i was told would leave me a cripple for life, led me to go deeper into meditation and internal work (Nan Huai Chin Tradition).

QI PHENOMENA (Fa-Jin and other) happend one day within Karate training and then in a competition. I knew it has to do with meditation, but i didnt know about the mechanism, i considered it a form of side effect of meditation combined with martial arts training, an accidental siddha.

TTHE MAIN THING was, that the body can be healed far beyond anything the doctors had told me and that it was not about healing, but about some deeper meaning, the acceptance of the transient nature of the body and the world and that eternal core of being. The healing of the body is also a kind of side effect. In later life i had two accidents and another severe sickness. In both cases i was told, that i need to be operated and can forget about the life as i knew it. It was wrong. The accidenst and sicknesses only happened, because i became complacent and distracted and needed a nudge into further transformation.

TAI JI QUAN proper i began to study in 2006 under Master Hong Li in Berlin. In 2009 the Taiwanese Master Shi Jong Chen introduced me into Yang Tai-Ji Quan. Since then i had learned from different teachers, Tai-Ji Quan, Qi Gong and Nei Gong. I am very thankful towards Mark Rasmus for example. Through these studies i began to understand the healing and martial mechanisms that work between emptiness (Samadhi) awareness or consciousness, mind and body.

Through my studies i came into contact with different methods, for example Russian Systema (very interesting!), bio energetic body work, Feldenkrais and others.

I WANT TO STATE HERE, that Internal Art is never dry and dead, it is about fulness, aliveness, joy. Yes it needs discipline, but that kind of discipline is only the energy needed to start a motor, and it is never dry.

I studied Painting and Japanese Calligraphy (Sho Do) under Professor Suiko Shimon (Saga Academy of Arts), from 2001 to 2005. Afterwards i studied Theater and Acting (M.A. ZHdK, Zürich). Since 2007 i worked in theater in film. I am is still painting, participating in movies and teaching acting nourished by internal arts and vice versa.
